TURN OUT THE VOTE

Get Out The Vote

"Get out the vote," or GOTV, is the work of boosting turnout on Election Day and beyond. Where voting isn't mandatory, a surprisingly large share of eligible voters can sit out an election, in some cases more than two out of three. GOTV campaigns close that gap by helping people register and then following up to make sure they actually cast a ballot, whether by mail, during early voting, or in person on Election Day.
